• Ingredients: 1 pound lemongrass stalks 2 quarts water 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon honey Procedure: Cut off and discard leafy portion of lemongrass stalks. Pound lower solid portion to bruise and release flavor. Combine water and lemongrass in large saucepan or pot. Bring to boil. Cover and boil 25 minutes. Strain out lemongrass. Add sugar and honey and stir until blended. Serve hot. Or allow to cool and serve over ice. Makes 8 servings.
